New Trustees Welcomed to TREE Fund Board The TREE Fund Board bid farewell to veteran trustees Robb Fanno, Tim Gamma and Dr. Robert Miller at the end of 2009. Their service, dedication and contributions were gratefully acknowledged by the entire TREE Fund Board and staff. The Board has since welcomed three new trustees, who will serve three-year terms. They are Mark Hoenigman of Busy Bee Services Ltd. in Ohio, Anita Gambill of STIHL Inc. in Virginia and Randall Miller of PacifiCorp in Utah. In addition, Jim Zwack of Rainbow Treecare Scientific Advancements in Minnesota is relinquishing his position as TREE Fund Liaison Committee Chair and has signed on for a threeyear term as a trustee on the board. A new TREE Fund Liaison Chair will be named soon.

Mark Hoenigman A partner in Busy Bee Services, Ltd., Mark is recognized nationwide for his expertise in transplanting trees bare root. Research in trees, and the environs in which they live, enables his company to further the “green” part of the arboricultural industry. As a TREE Fund trustee, he brings not only his passion for tree research and the environment, but also his acumen in bank accounting, insurance and IT gained through 30 years of business experience. He has served the ISA, both on the Chapter and International level, in various capacities including TREE Fund liaison.
Anita Gambill Anita is a public relations specialist for STIHL Inc., has over 20 years of experience in PR, advertising, marketing, sponsorship and trade show/ event planning, all of which will be useful in her work to expand the influence of the TREE Fund. She has served both the ISA and Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) organizations and has supported the Tour des Trees through STIHL’s sponsorship since she joined the company in 2001.
Randall Miller Randall has 27 years of experience in commercial, governmental and utility arboriculture, the last 10 of which have been in the directorship of PacifiCorp’s vegetation management program. Nearly 500 people in six Western states are employed by this program. He brings expertise in organizational leadership and communication skills as he recently completed his term as president of the Utility Arborist Association and has served in various state and federal task forces.
Jim Zwack Jim has 11 years of experience at Rainbow Treecare Scientific Advancements in research and commercial sales of plant health care products to arborists. He began his service to the TREE Fund in 2005 as the liaison for the Minnesota Chapter, and is a veteran of four Tours des Trees. In 2008, he became the chair of the Liaison Committee which includes a seat on the TREE Fund Board of Trustees. He is in the process of passing the torch to a new Liaison Chair, but will continue to lead the Tour des Trees Subcommittee as part of his work as the new chair of the Development Committee.
