TREE Fund Welcomes New Trustees

Several years ago, the TREE Fund chose to reduce the number of trustees on its board to a maximum of 15 and to strive for a more diverse skill set when recruiting and selecting new trustees. At its July meeting, the Board made significant progress toward this goal when it voted to invite John Hendricksen of The Care of Trees and Pepper Provenzano of TreeLink to join the TREE Fund Board of Trustees.

Well known in the industry, John has served extensively on both the ISA and TCIA boards, and served as a TREE Fund Trustee several years ago.

Pepper Provenzano (photo B)
Pepper brings expertise in communications and networking in the not-for-profit world that supports urban forestry.

They are joined by two other new trustees, Hallie Dozier, PhD. (photo C) of the Louisiana State University School of Renewable Natural Resources and Matthew Wells (photo D) of the City of New York Parks & Recreation Department. Together, these four trustees bring a wealth of experience and fresh ideas from the realms of business, communications, academia and urban forestry.
