The Tree Fund Endowment Campaign
The TREE Fund is able to fund only a fraction of the most promising projects proposed to us each year. Expanding our ability to fund exciting new initiatives like the TREE Fund Research Fellowship depend on a reliable income stream, insulated from the annual ups and downs of special events fundraising. That’s why our Endowment Campaign is so vital to the future of TREE Fund grants and scholarships.
Our goal is a bold one – raising $2 million in just two years -- but the ability to generate substantial investment income gives us the resources needed to research and solve urban forestry problems and advance professional arboriculture. Setting a big goal is the first step in achieving it. We’re off to a strong start, with five $100,000 pledges, thanks to the leadership and forward-thinking generosity of:
Tim and Tom Gamma of Gamma’s Shield Shade Tree in St. Louis, Missouri more>
Jim and Annie Barborinas of Urban Forestry Services in Mount Vernon, Washington more>
Mike Neal of Arizona Public Service in Phoenix, Arizona more>
Robert Bartlett of the F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company in Stamford, Connecticut more>
Connecticut Tree Protection Association more>
Every contribution to the TREE Fund endowment builds a stronger future for arboriculture and can be a great way to honor the work and passion of those we love and respect. For instance:
The Florida Chapter of the ISA has made great start on the John P. White Fund, which will educate municipal decision-makers about the importance of professional arboriculture and urban forestry.
Scott Packard, President and CEO of Wright Tree Service, pledged $10,000 to support a new scholarship program.
Why do they do it? Some people want their money to support research and others education, but our lead contributors know that building the endowment is a long-term commitment to tree care and the professionals who perform it.
We are grateful to our lead donors for their generous support of the TREE Fund Endowment Campaign. Please join them. Help the TREE Fund plan for the future of arboriculture and urban forestry by making a gift to the endowment, in addition to your annual donation. Please contact TREE Fund Executive Director at 630-369-8300 to discuss this opportunity.
